Overview
The role reports to the Director, Of Finance Excellence and will work closely with the various stakeholders to identify and evaluate financial risks, design internal controls, and manage an end-to-end SOX program that assesses the effectiveness of Internal Control over Financial Reporting.
Key accountability includes:
- Perform end-to-end process walkthroughs to identify risks, control gaps, and improvement opportunities
- Design, execute, and complete testing of the design and operating effectiveness of business processes and controls, including entity and process-level controls, IT general and application controls
- Improve control documentation and work papers
- Evaluate audit findings and coordinate remediation of deficiencies
- Assist in the evaluation of new processes, policies, and systems
- Manage and/or contribute to special projects both ad-hoc and recurring
The Candidate
- Knowledge of internal auditing standards, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO and risk assessment practices, and advanced control testing experience (e.g. SOX compliance)
- Familiarity of the financial cycles: Customer-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report
- 5-8 years of experience in SOX or internal audit
- Chartered Accountant/CPA/CIA/CISA certification preferred
- Familiarity with risk management software preferred
- Good project management experience
- communication skills with the ability to hold discussions with all stakeholders
