We are now hiring a Senior Mechanical Concept Design Engineers to bolster our R&D team.

Responsibilities:


Concept development projects for Behind-The-Ear (BTE):

• Performs as BTE concept development engineer with appropriate software
  
• Design plastic, metal and rubber parts in context of BTE hearing aid devices
• Implement new technologies or concepts into BTE design
• Be in charge for risk assessment, testing and proof of concept
• Assess new technologies related to DFA and DFM
• Hands-on prototyping of samples for proof of concept
• Collaborate strategically with key suppliers and research institutions

Innovation and Forefront Projects:

• Develop and architect Forefront projects to ensure enhancement of technology for future hearing aid generations
  
• Collaborate with other technology domain experts such as hardware, acoustics and simulation, in idea creation and in reaching a 'proof of concept' design for forefront projects
• Analyze competitor's product to benchmark good practices / designs
• Participate in formulating strategic initiatives related to new technology developments related to HA industry

Support:

• Contribute and participate in cross-functional and global projects
  
• Initiates new engineering concepts in consideration with organization processes
• Actively seeks new industry trends, demonstrating ability to understand the implication of implementing such trends into current projects / product

Requirements:

• University Degree from Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant product concept development experience
• Knowledge in one of more of the following will be added advantages: Creo CAD; CAE; Consumer / Medical product design experience; Project Management; Technology Scouting, Team Leadership; Innovation
• Good understanding in Finite Element Analysis, Tolerance Analysis, Design of Experiments, DFM, DFMEA, DFSS, Product Development Process
• Design experience with metal, plastic and rubber commodities, electro-mechanical parts, transducers and other decorative processes such as IMD, NCVM, coatings and spray painting will be added bonuses
• A good knowledge of Acoustics, Mechanical Simulation, PCBA technologies will be added bonus
