At WS Audiology, Research & Development is about understanding people – and building awareness about how our hearing aids can change their lives. We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Hardware Development Engineer, to join our R&D team. You will use your creativity in conceptualizing and pre-developing innovative ideas from scratch for our hearing aids till proof of concept.

The role

Lead Engineer for complex In The Ear (ITE) Hearing Aids development:

• Evaluation and quality verification of complex ITE Hearing Aids concepts / structures according to electrical and acoustical requirements
  
• Pioneering and implementation of new technologies into ITE Hearing Aids design
• Selection of loudspeakers and microphones
• Troubleshooting and optimization of existing acoustic designs in ITE Hearing Aids

Mentoring and Coaching:

• Supervise and coach work of Engineer II and below

Product Maintenance Support:

• Perform technical analysis related to process/design problems
• Supervise support activities (Trial Runs, FA approval, etc.) for change processes

Measurement equipment maintenance and calibration (e.g., audio analyser) 

Experience

• Master's or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Acoustics, Physics or other relevant field
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant engineering experience 
• Good understanding of system integration with knowledge or interest to work on audio/acoustic products
• Innovative and analytical mindset
• Good communication skills and able to work in a collaborative environment
