Analyst – Master Data Management
The Vendor Master data maintenance analyst is responsible for the accurate and efficient maintenance of vendor information in the organization's database. This role involves managing vendor data, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and collaborating with various departments to support procurement processes. The Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of vendor master data and facilitating smooth communication between vendors and internal stakeholders.
What you will do
- Vendor Data Management: Create and maintain vendor master records in the organization's database. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of vendor information, including contact details, payment terms, tax information, and other relevant data.
- Compliance and Documentation: Verify vendor documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to update vendor records based on changing regulations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaise with various departments, including procurement, finance, and supply chain, to gather and update vendor information. Respond to inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors regarding vendor master data.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to vendor data, working closely with relevant departments and vendors to address concerns promptly.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement in vendor master data management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and streamline vendor data maintenance processes.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal teams on vendor master data processes and best practices. Assist in developing training materials and documentation for end-users.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on vendor master data for analysis and decision-making purposes. Identify trends or patterns in vendor data and recommend improvements based on analysis.
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience in vendor master data maintenance or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor management.
- Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in data entry.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to vendor information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
