Senior Engineer, Product Complaint Investigation (Mechanical)

Join us as a Senior Engineer, Product Complaint Investigation (Mechanical), and play a key role in investigating, analyzing, and resolving product complaints and returns. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Operations, Materials Experts, and Developers, to identify root causes and implement solutions to reduce field returns, improve product robustness, and minimize non-conformance costs.
Your insights will directly contribute to enhancing the overall quality of our products and processes, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigation and Analysis:
- Perform thorough mechanical evaluation and quality verification of field-returned hearing aids and accessories.
- Analyze field return complaints to identify trends and recurring issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to determine failure root causes and implement design improvements.
- Generate field return statistics and prepare detailed reports on findings and corrective actions.
Maintenance and Improvement:
- Work with domain functions to implement corrective measures and engineering changes.
- Contribute to the creation and updating of Lessons Learned and Design Guides
- Participate in design reviews and risk assessments to prevent future product complaints and improve product robustness.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Track and report on top quality complaints and return statistics.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of investigations and actions taken.
- Prepare and present investigation findings, mitigation strategies, and recommendations to management and cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical product design, complaint investigation, and failure analysis.
- Experience working in inter-cultural/global teams, collaborating across regions and functions.
- Proficiency in utilizing tools such as Tolerance Analysis, DFMEA (Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis), Statistical Tools, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
Strong problem-solving skills and a keen eye for identifying root causes and implementing solutions. - Good communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
