Software Test Engineer

As a software test engineer, you ensure software quality by collaborating with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the sprint. You analyze requirements, create and execute test cases, and identify bugs early, advocating for users by validating functionality, usability, and performance. By supporting automation for regression testing and providing rapid feedback, you reduce risks and enhance collaboration, helping deliver reliable, high-value software.
What you will do
- Test Case Design and Documentation: Analyze requirements to create detailed test cases and maintain test documentation
- Test Execution: Perform manual tests for functionality, regression, and usability
- Test Environment Setup and Maintenance: Configure and maintain test environments, including test data and tools
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify, log, and track bugs, collaborating with developers for resolution
- Support Test Automation: Identify test cases suitable for automation and validate automated scripts to enhance testing efficiency
- Collaboration and Meetings: Participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and discussions with developers and product owners
- Continuous Learning and Process Improvement: Enhance skills and suggest improvements to testing practices and frameworks.
What you bring
Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, with hands-on expertise in manual testing, creating and executing test cases, and documenting results. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Familiarity with test management tools and defect tracking processes.
- Exposure to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium, or similar) is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Typescript, C#) is advantageous.
