As a Software Test Engineer Intern, you will work on developing a robust visual testing solution that integrates with the existing UI-based functional test automation pipeline. Your contributions will aim to maximize current test investments, enhance verification and quality assurance, and streamline test script development. While the project does not directly impact current production, it has the potential to significantly improve future software testing processes.

What you will do

• Design and develop features for a web-based Visual Testing application using ReactJS and Python, enabling baseline image selection, test execution, and intuitive result review
• Build user-friendly interfaces and scalable backend services to streamline UI discrepancy analysis and support visual test automation
• Develop and refine image comparison algorithms in Python to detect and classify visual differences between UI screenshots with high precision and noise tolerance
• Integrate enhanced comparison methods into Azure DevOps test pipelines, providing clear, actionable results for improved reporting and analysis in visual testing
• Integrate the Visual Testing Web Application with Azure DevOps pipelines by developing YAML configurations and automation logic to enable seamless continuous testing and result reporting within the CI/CD workflow.

What you bring

• Undergraduate in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or other related fields
• Experience with web application development using ReactJS and Python
• Proficiency in image processing using Python
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline integration
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
