EAD Trainee - BTE and RIC (End Dec 2025 - Jun 2026)

As an EAD Trainee, you will support the design, testing, and optimization of hearing solution devices, including embedded systems, DSP, and acoustics. You will also work with tools such as MATLAB or Python for data analysis, reporting, and automation. This role provides hands-on experience in prototyping and real-world product development within the medical device industry.
What you will do
- Develop embedded system hardware designs for hearing solutions, including EMC/ESD and DSP optimization
- Drive multi-layer PCB and acoustical performance evaluations (including EMC/ESD on Miniaturized Devices), as well as device prototyping and testing
- Participate in topic-based Machine Learning, measurement automation and data analytic tasks
- Apply Python or MATLAB for DSP, data analysis, reporting, and measurement automation
- Support acoustic design and optimization of speakers and microphones
- Prepare technical presentations and review documentation.
What you bring
- Undergraduate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Product Development or a related field
- Knowledge of embedded systems, mixed-signal electronics, DSP, and preferably audio/acoustics or machine learning fundamentals
- Proficiency in MATLAB or Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib) for DSP and data analysis
- Familiarity with lab equipment (audio analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters) and basic soldering skills is an advantage
- Independent and proactive, with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn
- Ability to commit full-time, or a mix of full-time and part-time, for 6 months.
