Intern - Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will support the Global Operations Financial Controlling team by contributing to reporting streamlining and process improvements, helping to enable smoother and more efficient audit processes. You will be involved in automating controlling projects and existing reports to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of financial analysis. This role requires close collaboration with various functions within the department, as well as with internal stakeholders involved in project delivery. The position offers valuable exposure to global finance operations, audit support, and data-driven process optimization within a corporate finance environment.
What you will do
Cost of Goods Sold Reporting: Understand the current mapping of COGS for the company, deep diving to identify the various costs going into COGS and recommending and correcting recording of costs by working with the relevant stakeholders
Strategic Initiatives and Projects: Support global strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening controls and improving business profitability by, 1. Strengthening fixed asset management process and execution fixed asset count in Singapore, and 2. Refresh internal policies regarding to Global Industrial Operations (with guidance from site & global controllers)
Financial Performance Analysis: Support the business to develop profitable business case in the area of manufacturing, inventory and logistics business case by, 1. Working with stakeholders to validate business case inputs, and 2. Tracking of selected business cases to ensure that materialization of ROI as per approval.
What you bring
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Good written and verbal communication skills in English
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with ERP systems is a plus
Fundamental understanding of financial statements and management accounting principles
Ability to collect and analyze financial data from various sources
Collaborative mindset to work across teams.
