Intern - Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst Intern, you will support the Global Operations Controlling team by contributing to financial reporting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives. You will be involved in process automation and documentation efforts that improve reporting efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance process transparency. This role also supports improvement and risk identification activities, helping to reduce operational risk and inefficiency. You will collaborate closely with different functions within the department and work with internal stakeholders across the organisation to deliver project outcomes in a global finance environment.
What you will do
Monthly Closing and Reporting
Perform intercompany reconciliation checks to ensure accuracy in Group Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting
Review monthly journal postings for COGS at country level, identifying and following up on abnormalities
Financial Performance Analysis
Assist in preparing month-end financial performance slides for monthly business reviews
Perform variance analysis on key components of Group COGS by comparing actual results against budget and providing clear explanations
Support the annual group budgeting process
Handle ad-hoc financial analysis requests from internal and external stakeholders
Strategic Initiatives and Projects
Support the automation of accounting provision processes, including:
Understanding existing manual calculation logic and translating it into a structured model
Performing testing and validation using historical data
Documenting assumptions, calculation logic, and controls
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by:
Preparing clear process flowcharts and documentation
Identifying potential process improvement and risk areas
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to support project delivery and ensure alignment across finance and operations.
What you bring
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline
Strong interest in finance, controlling, or analytics, with a fundamental understanding of end-to-end business processes
Detail-oriented, structured, and willing to learn
Able to document processes clearly and logically
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI
Able to commit from May 2026.
