Intern - IT Security (GRC Tooling & Automation)

As an Information Security Technical Intern, you will support the development and optimisation of GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) platforms through tooling, automation, and system integration. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance workflows, support data integration across systems, and improve process efficiency through technology. This role offers hands-on exposure to enterprise tools, automation frameworks, and how technology enables governance and compliance processes.
What you will do
Support the development and enhancement of GRC platform workflows, automations, and configurations (e.g. LogicGate)
Assist with API integrations and data exchanges between GRC platforms and other systems (e.g. JIRA, internal tools)
Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of system configurations and automation workflows
Identify opportunities to improve and automate GRC processes using tooling and system capabilities
Assist in documenting system configurations, processes, and technical changes
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business/process requirements into technical solutions.
What you bring
Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
Basic understanding of APIs, system integrations, and scripting concepts (e.g. REST APIs, JSON)
Familiarity with workflow or ticketing tools (e.g. JIRA) is an advantage
Exposure to automation tools, low-code/no-code platforms, or workflow systems is a plus
Interest in GRC platforms and technology-enabled governance and compliance processes
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Comfortable working with structured data and system configurations
Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills and willingness to troubleshoot and learn independently
Good communication and collaboration skills.
