Finops Specialist

As a FinOps Specialist, you will play a key role in optimizing cloud spend and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will design cost management frameworks, implement optimization strategies, and apply automation and AI techniques to proactively manage and forecast cloud costs at scale.
What you will do
Establish and manage cloud cost tracking, allocation, and forecasting frameworks
Drive cost optimization initiatives (rightsizing, RI/Savings Plans, usage efficiency)
Perform cost analysis, audits, and anomaly detection to control spend
Build dashboards, reports, and alerting systems for cost visibility
Collaborate with engineering, finance, and product teams on cost governance
Apply AI/automation to solve FinOps problems (e.g., anomaly detection, forecasting, optimization recommendations)
What you bring
Experience
4–6+ years of experience in cloud cost management (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Strong understanding of cloud billing models and optimization strategies
Hands-on experience with cost tools (Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Mgmt, Apptio, Kubecost)
Experience in cost reporting, forecasting, and governance (tagging, chargeback)
Working knowledge of Python/SQL or automation tools for analysis/reporting
Proven experience applying AI/ML or intelligent automation to a FinOps use case (mandatory)
Personal competencies
Strong problem-solving mindset with ability to apply AI to real scenarios
Good execution awareness (understands how solutions are implemented, not just theory)
Ability to translate cost data into actionable insights
Effective communicator across technical and business stakeholders
Curious and adaptive to evolving AI and FinOps practices
Ownership-driven with focus on automation and continuous improvement
