Business Development Manager- Government Business

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Business Development Manager – Government Business to lead and expand our government business portfolio across India. This role will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing government tender opportunities, building strong relationships with government stakeholders, and ensuring seamless execution of tender-based projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in government tendering, project management, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination.
What you will do
Business Development & Revenue Growth
Own and drive Vesuvio revenue target of INR 210 million.
Develop and grow the Vesuvio brand across Pan India.
Identify and track upcoming government tenders related to hearing aids and associated equipment.
Build strong relationships with government authorities, departments, and key stakeholders to expand business opportunities.
Tender Management
Regularly monitor and evaluate government tender opportunities.
Manage complete tender documentation, including technical and commercial specifications.
Liaise with government authorities for clarification and finalization of tender requirements.
Submit tenders within timelines and ensure compliance with all requirements.
Follow up with concerned departments regarding tender evaluations and results.
Issue tender authorization certificates/letters to channel partners participating in specific tenders.
Order Execution & Supply Management
Coordinate with the sales team for regular Vesuvio orders from the open market.
Ensure smooth and timely execution of awarded tender orders.
Monitor order fulfillment and supply commitments.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to secure and execute business opportunities.
Ensure service and repair support for units supplied through government tenders.
Production Planning & Forecasting
Plan and forecast Vesuvio production requirements based on order pipeline and tender forecasts.
Coordinate closely with the production team to ensure timely manufacturing and delivery.
Ensure smooth operational flow and availability of products to meet customer commitments.
What you bring
Experience
10–15 years of professional experience in business development, government sales, tender management, or related functions.
Proven experience in handling government tenders, projects, and institutional business.
Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and the GeM (Government e-Marketplace) portal.
Hands-on experience in preparing technical and commercial tender documentation.
Experience in liaising with government departments and authorities for tender-related activities.
Expertise in production planning, demand forecasting, and order management.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, channel partners, and external stakeholders.
Successful track record of securing and managing government business opportunities.
Education
Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university.
Additional qualifications in Business Management, Sales, Marketing, or Supply Chain Management will be an advantage.
