We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Owner to drive the vision, roadmap, and delivery of key digital products, including FinOps and AI agent solutions. This role will own products end-to-end, ensuring they deliver measurable business value, drive adoption, and support WSA's digital transformation journey.

What you will Own

• FinOps. Our FinOps products give engineering teams and finance a shared, trustworthy view of cloud spend across our providers and push cost accountability into the teams that create the cost. You own their vision, roadmap and backlog end to end.

• Discovery for what comes next. New products are taking shape in our cloud and platform strategy area. You will help develop them through product discovery, prototypes and stakeholder interviews, and give them a definition and a first roadmap. Who owns them in the end is decided later.

• Possibly more. Depending on the profile we find, smaller existing products can be added to your responsibilities – our Backstage developer portal, or our Google Cloud and Alibaba Cloud offerings, for example.

• Outcomes, not output. You are measured on adoption across the applications on the platform and on the decisions that change because of your product, not on the number of stories closed. You present your roadmap and your results to leadership yourself.

What you will do

• Talk to the people who use our FinOps products – platform teams, application teams and finance – and turn what you learn into a roadmap they recognise as theirs.

• Write the user stories and acceptance criteria yourself. You know the difference between a story and a specification.

• Prioritise against business value, technical feasibility and the platform strategy, and defend the ranking when it is challenged.

• Work with the engineering team day to day: refinement, design reviews, demos and releases. You can read the code and the architecture, and you will.

• Track adoption and outcomes, and act on what the numbers tell you.

• Manage expectations and dependencies with stakeholders across WSA.

• Run product discovery and stakeholder interviews for new products in the strategy area

What you bring

• A technical background: 5+ years in software engineering, architecture or platform engineering, and real responsibility for deciding what gets built – as a product owner, a tech lead or an architect.

• You have shipped something other teams depend on – an internal platform, a service, a tool – and lived with the consequences.

• You understand cloud platforms well enough to challenge an engineer's estimate and to spot when a cost report is wrong. Hands-on FinOps experience is a plus; the practice can be learned, the instinct cannot.

• You have made a case to senior stakeholders, won some and lost some, and can explain what you would do differently.

• You can work with an empowered agile team without needing to run it. Scrum or SAFe familiarity is useful; process for its own sake is not.

• You are interested in LLM- and agent-based solutions and have a realistic view of what they can and cannot do today.

• Clear written and spoken English, and comfortable working in a multi-region team across time zones..
