Purchasing Specialist

As a Purchasing Specialist/Supply Planner, you will play a critical role in managing the replenishment of components for the production line in our manufacturing center. You will ensure optimal stock levels by maintaining and updating part setups in the ERP system. Collaborating closely with both local and global planners, as well as other departments, you will proactively manage demand volumes, component stock levels, and availability to ensure seamless production and maintain the required service levels.
What you will do
Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure procurement of the correct parts in the right quantities.
- Support the progression of ongoing projects.
- Maintain high delivery performance with a focus on the On-Time Delivery KPI.
- Monitor and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Share visibility on demand volumes with material suppliers.
- Support the overall planning and service level objectives.
Key Tasks
- Conduct monthly, weekly, and daily purchasing of parts.
- Perform daily follow-ups on orders and delivery dates.
- Update and maintain purchase order (PO) dates.
- Define and maintain safety stock levels, ensuring proper stock management.
- Maintain and update master data and purchasing profiles.
- Expedite parts to prevent production delays.
- Determine optimal stock levels and make purchasing decisions for assigned parts.
- Update and maintain purchasing parameters.
What you bring
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in similar roles within modern, complex manufacturing and distribution environments.
- Proficiency with AL INFOR and AX Microsoft ERP systems.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with Outlook and other communication tools.
- Strong written and spoken English skills.
