As the Head of IT ANZ, you will lead and transform the IT landscape, with a key focus on enhancing IT security. You will be responsible for driving the local IT strategy, ensuring the sustainability and protection of our digital infrastructure, and aligning IT initiatives with broader business objectives. This is a high-impact role where you will oversee critical functions and play a pivotal part in guiding the company through its secure digital transformation journey.

What you will do

• IT Strategy & Leadership:
  • Collaborate with WSA Global IT to develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy and technology roadmap, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: 
  • Partner with business units, legal, and compliance teams to foster security awareness and integrate security by design in all technology initiatives. 
  • Align IT strategies with broader business goals to enhance efficiency, productivity, and innovation.
• Team Development & Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing IT team, fostering cross-functional collaboration and supporting professional growth.

What you bring

Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Minimum of 12 years in IT leadership roles, with relevant experience in ANZ
• Proven experience managing IT teams and operations in ANZ, with strong knowledge of infrastructure, support/service desk operations, and overseeing IT system projects like ERP, CRM, finance systems, and more.
• Expertise in digital business transformation within hyper-growth businesses, with in-depth knowledge of IT networks, security, software, hardware, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity and IT architecture.

Personal competencies

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex IT concepts to non-technical stakeholders and a strategic, pragmatic approach to risk management
• Proven experience managing a geographically diverse IT team and driving change within an organization
• Preferred experience in ANZ roles, knowledge of data protection laws, influencing a security-conscious culture, and managing global teams across multiple time zones.
