Technician, Manufacturing Technology Development

What you will do
Production & Equipment Support: Sustain production operations through machine troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and Breakdown Record Analysis (BRA) documentation. Maintain tools and equipment, create troubleshooting guides, and provide training and audit support.
Engineering & Project Assistance: Support engineers in ECM, automation, GPS, FEATS, new equipment setup, relocation, and other ad-hoc mass production projects. Assist with work instructions, risk assessments, sample testing, data collection, installation, and trial runs.
Equipment Modification & Validation: Modify, refurbish, and validate machine and equipment components to meet functional and production requirements. Support trial runs to ensure readiness for mass production.
Maintenance, Calibration & Asset Management: Manage preventive and autonomous maintenance (PM/AM), calibration scheduling, jig and fixture upkeep, and machine ledger creation. Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure equipment reliability.
Spare Parts, Inventory & 5S: Ensure spare parts availability through effective inventory management and coordination. Drive 5S standards, maintenance administration, and documentation control.
Continuous Improvement & Smart Lean: Support and drive CIP, automation, Lean, and efficiency improvement initiatives across functions. Contribute to Smart Lean programs (AM, PM, EEM pillars) using Kaizen and basic problem-solving tools.
What you bring
Education & Experience: Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical & Electronics Engineering with 3+ years of experience in production, equipment, or process engineering.
Industry & Process Exposure: Strong experience in PCBA and SMT industries, including automation and coating processes within a manufacturing environment.
SMT Equipment Expertise: Hands-on experience with SMT equipment such as solder printers, AOI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, underfill systems, dicing machines, and related tools.
Automation & GPS Systems: Practical experience with automation and GPS systems, including testing, depaneling, coating, masking/demasking, warehouse automation, and automated packing solutions.
Technical & Engineering Skills: Proven capability in equipment sustaining, maintenance, and calibration, with solid knowledge of electro-pneumatics, electro-mechanical systems, and PLCs. Able to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings and electrical circuit diagrams.
Soft Skills & Collaboration: Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively as both a team player and a technical lead.
