Software Test Automation Engineer

What you will do
Participate actively in Agile software development and testing lifecycles, contributing to sprint activities and quality goals.
Review and analyze business and system requirements to design comprehensive test specifications, including Functional, System Integration, Performance, and Compliance testing.
Design, develop, review, and maintain test scenarios, test cases, and test data for both manual and automation test efforts.
Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks, including those built using FlaUI for Windows desktop application testing and SpecFlow (BDD) for behavior-driven testing.
Execute manual and automated tests, perform traceability analysis, and ensure full coverage of user stories and requirements.
Manage test planning, progress tracking, defect management, and test reporting for assigned projects.
Analyze test results, consolidate testing metrics, and provide insights and lessons learned to improve future cycles.
Ensure that all test activities comply with internal standards, methodologies, and quality expectations.
Collaborate closely with test engineers, developers, SMEs, and project stakeholders to deliver high‑quality testing outcomes.
Drive continuous improvement in test processes, automation coverage, and testing tools/techniques.
Contribute to automation framework enhancements, CI/CD pipeline integration, and ongoing test efficiency improvements.
What you bring
Good understanding of Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing processes within Agile environments.
Prior experience in desktop and/or mobile application testing is highly desirable.
Solid understanding of software development or testing fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with commonly used automation and performance testing tools, including:
FlaUI for Windows UI automation (preferred)
SpecFlow (BDD) for automated test scripting
Azure DevOps Server (formerly TFS)
MS Teams or equivalent collaboration tools
Selenium or equivalent for web automation
Appium or equivalent for mobile automation
Bug tracking tools such as TFS, Jira, or equivalents
Test case management tools such as MTM, Azure Test Plans, or equivalents
Proficiency in C# is strongly preferred (experience with JavaScript is an added advantage).
Ability to work independently and in teams; self‑driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Passionate about software testing, with a curious and analytical mindset.
Detail-oriented with strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
