Solution Architect, Retail ERP & Integration

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect, Retail ERP to join our IT team, reporting to the Director, Retail ERP. In this role, you will design and implement solutions that connect our Retail ERP system with POS, and other platforms, bridging business requirements and technical implementation to ensure efficient data flow, real-time synchronisation, and optimal performance across our global systems.
What you will do
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and architectural design
• Design, build, and integrate information systems that meet business objectives, ensuring seamless data exchange between ERP, POS, and other systems
• Develop and maintain the overall architecture for MS Business Central in retail, ensuring interoperability, data consistency, scalability, and flexibility
• Address functional/technical challenges as they arise, and troubleshoot issues related to data synchronisation, security, and performance
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for MS Business Central, including design specifications, data mapping, and configuration details
• Communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress, challenges, and proposed solutions.
What you bring
• 7+ years of experience as a Solution Architect or in a similar role, including previous project implementation experience
• Solid knowledge of retail business and financial processes, knowledge of retail medical or audiology systems and MS Business Central is advantageous
• Experience with systems integration using APIs (REST/SOAP), message buses (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ), ETL pipelines, and enterprise service buses (e.g. MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Azure Integration Services)
• Familiarity with Agile principles, data modelling and synchronisation techniques, and authentication/authorisation standards (OAuth2, SAML, JWT)
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Good communication skills, with English required and additional languages advantageous.
