Head of IT Shared Service & Site Lead

As the Head of the IT Shared Services and Bangalore IT Site Leader, you will serve as the executive representative for our India operations while spearheading a strategic shift to centralized IT services. Your primary initial mandate is to consolidate fragmented activities from disparate IT departments into a unified, Global Shared Service. Beyond service delivery, you will partner with HR to support hiring, onboarding, and talent development for the COE, and local stakeholders to ensure a high-performance culture.
What you will do
Strategy & Shared Services
Centralize Services: Partner with the IT Leadership team to design and implement a roadmap to move activities from individual departments into centralized Center of Excellence
Standardization: Establish global standards, automation frameworks, and KPI dashboards to ensure consistent quality across all IT products
Service Expansion: Once the first service is stable, identify and onboard additional shared service domains (e.g., Cloud Ops, DevOps, Data Analytics)
Vendor Management: Manage external partners and offshore/ onshore service providers to optimize cost and quality.
Local Site Leadership & Operations
Team Management : Act as functional manager for Global IT employees In Bangalore and Hyderabad in cooperation with line managers in the IT organisation
Talent Management: Partner with HR on workforce planning, recruitment decisions, and performance management for the COE team. Provide capability requirements and hiring plans to HR to enable scaling of the COE
Drive local team engagement in coordination with Line Managers
Local Management Liaison: Act as the primary link between the Bangalore IT Hub, the local Indian management and global management, ensuring alignment with corporate culture and goals
Facilities & Administration: Partner with Workplace/ Administration teams to ensure infrastructure supports COE delivery needs.
What you bring
Experience
Total Experience: 15+ years in IT, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing a Global Delivery Center or COE
Transformation Expert: Proven track record of transitioning decentralized teams into a shared service or COE model
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of software quality assurance (QA), automation testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
Personal competencies
Operational Excellence: Strong background in managing local HR processes, budgets, and facility operations for a 100+ HC site
Stakeholder Influence: Exceptional ability to navigate matrixed global organizations and influence department heads to adopt centralized services
Leadership: Demonstrated experience in building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
