We are looking for a Global Category Lead, Mechanics to drive strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for the Mechanics category. This role will focus on delivering competitive cost, quality, and time-to-market outcomes while supporting innovation, risk mitigation, and business continuity across global operations.

What you will do

• Lead global strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management for the Mechanics category, including supplier lifecycle planning and business continuity

• Develop and execute procurement strategies such as benchmarking, alternate sourcing, value engineering, cost modeling, and risk mitigation to drive cost savings and value creation

• Manage global mechanics suppliers through negotiations, contract management, and performance governance to ensure competitive pricing, delivery, and risk coverage

• Analyze spend, cost structures, price competitiveness, and value‑chain insights to identify savings opportunities and improve overall cost efficiency

• Collaborate cross‑functionally with R&D, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams, leveraging mechanical expertise to optimize requirements, designs, and category KPIs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in with at least 3–5 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably within mechanical or engineering-related categories

• Proven experience managing global suppliers and negotiating contracts

• Strong analytical capabilities in spend analysis, cost modeling, and price competitiveness

• Strong technical understanding of mechanical components and manufacturing processes

• Ability to influence and communicate effectively across a global organization

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage complexity.
